Welcome Kid, a good group of guys and ladies here. If you watch your manners and remember peoples kids are looking in on us you'll be fine. I used to live in LaGrange down near old town for a while. Welcome. Tom

I call it the Appalachian assault rifle after Col Cooper [think it was him that said it]

Just finished it

Marlin 336 in good old 30-30 with Ramline synthetic stock, BSA scout scope setup and a Brownells take down lever screw.

What do you think Folks?

Kid
Actually in was Frank Marshall that coined that phrase "Appalachian Assault Rifle " another good one by him is "Hep Castbulletier". He was one of the guys that helped get the CBA up and running many moons ago.

Not to worry I won't hold it against you :P

Nice rifle.

Sixgun, I LIKE that idea! Let's see, what calibers do I want my 4 & 1/2 rifles in...
That half rifle is going to be a real hoot to shoot.

Jumpin catfish it is cold here!

Last couple of days it was cold but it is 15 below 0 today.

Windy and just raw.

Well is acting up so I am probably gonna have to bathe out of a bucket tonight.

Outside of that life is wonderful.....See I started taking this new medicine called Repressitall. Since I started taking Repressitall I don't think of my taxes going up or my pay not going up.

I am always happy and I live in a world where the sky is pink and ponies prance around eating rainbows and farting pretty purple butterflies.

Ahhhhh thank you Repressitall.

Welcome from a fellow teacher and gun enthusiast!

What do you teach? I live in puberty's abyss! (6th grade math) here in middle TN. I also coach basketball, both JV and Varsity, and HS soccer (girls).

BTW I love my traditional lever guns, but I also love the Hillbilly Assault Rifle. I have a rough old Win 94 that I am gathering parts for right now. Plan on having it cut down to 16 1/2 in, shorten the stock, dura coat it etc.

Welcome from Southern California.

You the same kid_couteau from scoutrifles.org?
What most people call a "right" is the equivalent of a dog walking on a leash. Just because your leash is a little longer than the other dogs' does not mean you don't have a master.
