Y.K. for Member Emeritus

Post by 1886 »

I proposed this sometime back. I am doing it again. Time for Y.K. to be a fancy pants. Anyone second this? 1886.

Perhaps we could change the nomination to Ye Olde Farte?

Yup, I'll go along with that. Now, YK, you can send me any of your pre-1894 Winnies of your choice

Unlike me, he has the knack of staying out of most of the 'contentious' threads  - and when he does chime in, it is always with decorum.

By cracky...I do believe I remember when ol' YK had only a measily 8000 posts. A veritable whippersnapper.

He's all growed up now, raced ahead & left us all in the trail dust. Let's give him a cookie!

Gets my vote too!

I can not condone such actions as buying votes.

P.S. Y.K, I have not received your check in the agreed upon amount.

I dunno. Most folks I know with "Emeritus" behind their names soon seem to become folks I knew -- they join the ranks of the "departed." I'd hate to see that happen to Jay, he's just too young . . .

Seriously, he gets my vote.

Keep in mind - emeritus essentially means retired, out to pasture, etc. Now you're not trying to shut him up are you? :D

I was just getting ready to post the same thing ... until I read the last post of the thread.

I think we need a different title, since YK's not retired at all. I like Hobie's original suggestion of "Master Bloviater" or something like that!
