Just back from Montgomery and a doctor visit for Mom.
Great news, Good News, and less than good news.
First the Great news.
Mom came through the surgery Monday just fine. She had a lot of pain at first but today she is doing quite well.
She went to the doctor for a follow-up check up today.
The Good News is that the cancer had not spread to the lymph nodes and the doctor is sure that he got it all.
The Less than Good News is that he wants her to take some radiation treatments. He gave her the option of not tking the radiation but warned that the cancer might return within five years. With the radiation he thinks the cancer will not return or at the worst be delayed by 10 years of more.
She starts radiation treatments next Tuesday.
Your prayers and good wishes have been greatly appreciated by both Mom and I.

Will keep on the prayer list, glad to hear the good news. I went through radiation for prostate cancer in in 2003, it took care of the cancer completly. I know that it was all in God's hands and He will take care of your mother too.

Doc,
17 years ago my mom had cancer. She decided she would do whatever it took to win. She won. She's alive today cancer free. Yes she has other problems but she lived long enough to have them.
