Anyone here use "Cerama-Coat" on their gun?

Post by AJMD429 »

The post about RoBar finishing reminded me I have a bottle of "Cerama-Coat" I've not yet used...

Has anyone on here used it...? I have a couple of 'candidate' guns in mind.

No, but I would like to try it????????
I usually use Dura-Coat, but it would be neat to see how this stuff works! :)

I wonder how it would work on Ruger aluminum grip frames?

You know, somthing like that might be just the ticket for the 91/30... except that I don't have a big enough oven to bake it in.

Duracoat I think just cures over time (72 hours?). Been looking too, trying to clean up a much abused No4mk1 enfield, very little paint left on it and surface rust.Forearm curved to one side. Was kind of wondering about the Gas Barbecue for bake on stuff-might get in a whole lot of trouble trying that " why no dear I don't smell a thing !"

Yes, finished a Marlin .35 Rem with it. The photos are posted here somewhere under EBR.
