An initiative has been started to improve the CCW laws. Heard it on Tom Gresham's Guntalk.

If you live in ND or know someone who does, this will improve safety there.

They need something like 12k signatures and a few sponsors.

I think his email is nickotym@hotmail.com
Kind regards,

Thanks for the update. Not sure exactly what this does, but carrying in more places is always a good thing. I have a CCW and am glad I do. The main thing I enjoy about it is carrying in my vehicle.

Sounds like a good idea but they might have a tuff time getting that many signatures. I just read an article about CCW in the Minot, ND Daily paper. If I remember right there are less than 8000 people licensed in the state. There are only 630,000 total. The article in the paper talked about the removal of the firing a handgun part of the test and how we may be losing some reciprocity with some other state because of it. When I took mine, I had to shoot. Didn't take much talent, great big target, pretty close.
Times have really changed over the years, I use to carry a gun in the pickup when I went to high school. Now I would be kicked out of school for it.
I did a speech in collage on cleaning a shot gun, and use a real one to demonstrate. Try that one now.

Maybe y'all could get a copy of the petition and take it in with ya to places that sell guns and ammo when you shop at those places.
Just because folks don't have a CCW does not mean they don't want those of you who do watching their backs in more places. My wife would sign it. She does not have a CCW(yet).
Kind regards,
