I think we all relate to Quigley.

Re: Quigley
you said it --- fun and entertaining all the way around. Hard to imagine a rifleman watching that and then not immediately want to add a Sharps to the collection

one of my favorites - right up there with The Patriot, Last of the Mohecans, Out of Africa, Dances with Wolves, and all the Duke movies!

Well, my guess is she'd be after Tom Selleck and wouldn't notice.Griff wrote:Hmmm... wonder what Mrs. Miller thinks of that?J Miller wrote:You guys can have the Sharps, I'll take Laura SanGiacomo ...![]()

Comfortable is what Jennifer O'Neal called JW when he woke up next to her at the campfire in Rio Lobo
"I've been called a lot of things before, but never COMFORTABLE" he said.
I like Tom Seleck's westerns. I think he could have been the "John Wayne" of the modern era. Maybe that's why he didn't stick with them. Robert Duval, Clint Eastwood, Russel Crowe, were all good, but Tom has a charisma, especially with short dialogue, that's puts him in the same frame as JW. He has the build for it too!
I thought "The Life and Time of Monty Walsh" was going to be the begining of a long western run for Tom, one after another, but then Jessie Stone came, and Vegas, and no more westerns. I liked those shows, but I loved the westerns...

I also like Sam Elliot a lot-- he did make a couple of westerns with Tom Selleck: The Sacketts and The Shadow Riders (perhaps more).

Yeah, its a doggone shame that Tom Selleck didn't make a sequel to Quigley. Always loved him and his crew in Magnum PI as well

Re: Quigley
I'll take the rifle. I have a wife who will probably stay with me forever, and outlast me to boot. I don't have a Sharps and it wouldn't make my wife pull out her Rem. 700 30-06 and use me for target practice. Getting caught with Laura SanGiacomo would certainly make me a target.
