don't know about the wood this is the first one I have seen with a safety up close.I tried my dummy rounds with the 429421 and they feed like butter thru the action .I have a good feeling about this one...stubby .
They are a blast. i have the same thing in .45 colt. Its lighter and handier than my Marlin 39M. All you need is a Henry .22lever to go with it.
30/30 Winchester: Not accurate enough fer varmints, barely adequate for small deer; BUT In a 10" to 14" barrelled pistol; is good for moose/elk to 200 yards; ground squirrels to 300 metres
250 Savage... its what the 223 wishes it could be...!
Now that I have seen one, in a photo at least, I know this will be my next buy. Can I ask what it cost? I have the full length rifle made by Rossi, an exact 1873 replica, in blued steel, .45 Colt. An awesome gun.
