Ted, you got that right! An just think of the emotional damage you poor little daughter is going through after seeing you all hurt from jumping rope. She'll need counseling for years ..................... probably laughing herself silly over it.

Just teasing you.

Take care of your foot, and by all means find something less hazardous to do with your daughter. Hey, you could take her shooting .... :D

I've been trying to get her shooting Joe. She wants to look at the pink Crickett every time we go in the gun store. Problem is her mother is not ready, but we're working on it. We'll wear her down in another month or two.

As my 88 year old(at the time) Grandfather told me one time..getting old is hell...but it beats the alternative! All things are relative. Tom

Absolutely! What's a broken bone to a permanent memory in your daughter's heart of Daddy taking the time to play with her? I wish now that I'd done that more with my two daughters, while I was trying to prove to the world what a great cop and dragonslayer that I was. In the end, they really didn't care about that.

You will look back years later and realize that it was worth it!

I suggest you buy the gun for your wife and a diamond ring for your daughter then give them as gifts. When your wifes sees that she didn't get the rock, let the two of them do a trade. Come on man, use your brain... you gotta be smarter than your wench.

As far as your Woman not allowing the girl a rifle....Just TELL her how it's going to be. Women actually, in spite of massive evidence to the contrary, enjoy that firm approach. I promise

You're absolutely right nazgul.

I hobbled around on it for a couple days and it just got worse. Finally gave in and went to the sawbones, and all the way there was trying to come up with a macho story about how it happened, because you just know they're going to ask. Turns out the true story seemed to gain me some extra attention from the nurses.

TedH,
A high school chum of mine (male) became interested in medicine at an early age & he became for the time one of the few MALE ER nurses.
He told me years ago , if I had to go to ER for anything, to make up a story that it happened while you were helping a:
young female child
old woman
single woman
the care you receive increases exponentially if you performed one of these tasks.

Maybe ya oughta go ahead and buy the "pink Crickett" and keep it in reserve just in case they quit making them.

You know, I almost did a month or so ago. Then I saw a little Marlin that was similar in dimensions with a pink camo stock that the daughter liked much better. I may have them get another one of them for us.

Ouch! I have broken a few bones but none in quite so manly a fashion as you. :D You have my sympathy broken bones in your feet are miserable things. I have broken several toes, right Tibia, both thumbs, and my nose more then once. I would rather break anything then break something in my feet again.

Heal well.
