OT - I am assuming ....
That in heaven we can all have the guns back we didn't want to get rid of - the SAAs including New Frontiers and the Colt 22s and the Winchester 1971 NRA commemorative.........

...and there are never shortages of primers, powder, and bullets either.

All God ever promised was to take your soul. I don't recall a 2nd Ammendment in the Bible but we can all hope for the best.

I once had a discussion with a person over whether or not there are dogs in heaven. Seems to me like it would be a mighty poor place without them.

Hahaha... I had to laugh out loud. Sorry friend Old Savage! You just can't keep us wisecrackers reigned in on this one!Old Savage wrote:First guy heads off the trail and everybody else follows.
Okay, I'll start:
The first gun that I ever owned - later stolen by a "friend" - a gun that I purchased as a very young man because it was the same one shown at the opening screen of "The Untouchables" TV series (1959-63) -
Colt Police Positive Special .38 Special revolver with the standard 4" barrel
My first high powered hunting rifle, given to me by my Dad and later stolen by a gunsmith via a staged "fire" who was apparently supplying the IRA with guns -
Pre-64 Winchester Model 70 .270 bolt action rifle
M1 Garand .30-06 in VG+ condition, obtained after attending an NRA sponsored Civilian Marksmanship match with my brother-in-law - I sold this to purchase something else
Several others, but those three mean the most to me.

Re: OT - I am assuming ....
Good thread Old Savage! First would be the 1873 Winchester in .38 WCF that my Dad gave me when I was 10 to deer hunt with. The extractor didn't work so you had to dig the fired case out with a pocketknife, it was in decent shape and shot well enough but being a complete idjit I traded it away in the early 70's for a Winchester 94 NIB ( I swear I remember M94's selling for around 99 bucks new at that time) I'd also like to have the little .22/410 OU Bronco made by (I think) Garcia it was all metal with a skeleton stock and weighed next to nothing and I used it coon hunting for several years until I dropped it one night and watched it go sliding off a bluff into Lake Norfork. While I'm wishing,The colt 1911 70 series that shot like a lazer beam that I trade off and still miss.
There's a lot more but those spring to mind this morning. I sure hope the good Lord takes pity on fools like me and has a big gun rack with my name on waiting when I get there.

Old Savage,
thanks for clarrifying the topic. I was a bit confused as to what you were asking. Getting old sucks.
As for the topic at hand, I can remember a grade VI Browning Citori in 12 that went with a grade VI Browning .22 BAR. that pair was all I hunted and shot with for several years in Chasn., SC.
I would like my first .45acp (series 70) that was worked over and tricked out
And perhaps my first Garand.

Re: OT - I am assuming ....
I would be satisfied to get back an 1886 45-70, Trapdoor 45-70, a Colt New Police 32-20 among others that I bought and traded off back in the 1960's. But I know it's not to be.

Re: OT - I am assuming ....
I wouldn't mind being reunited with my first 9422M it shot a lot better than the one I have now my .58 Buffalo Carbine is also sadly missed but the one I would love to have back the most, would be a BSA super sportsman .22 B/A that I had to sell when I was broke.

Re: OT - I am assuming ....
My question is, what if all those guns everyone "let go" and wants back are someone else's keepers? Do they get to keep them or not?

JeepGuy - that is one of the cool things about heaven - just as you can hit duplicate here there it can be done with guns or my first pocket knife someone in Davenport Iowa stole - a Camillus model 51 Barlow if anyone comes across it.
