I did it too, well sort of. I had a Biakal SXS coachgun with external hammers and with screw-in chokes and bought and installed the 45/70 barrel inserts. Slick little set up. A CAS shooter wanted in real bad and paid way more than I had into it.

It would be an absolute hoot to reline my old ($100) 16ga Damascus Hammer Gun and turn it into a BP-pressure double .45/70...

I guess it all depends how many here are machinists or tool and die people(have ability to set head spacing) and have machine tools available to preform the needed tasks, to do this type of work?

I talked with Paco yesterday (May 4) .. He has some health issues that need addressed, as well as caring for his wife's health problems. He may be a little slow getting back to you boys ... but the double rifle is a reality.
