OT -- What type of handgun are you?

Post by alnitak »

It's been a while since I've done one of these:

I came up as a Walther PPK. Must have been my answer on the James Bond question.

17. Who would you most like to spend the day with?
The President of the United States
The Playboy Playmate of the Year

Given the current president I had a real hard time with that one.

It said I was a Glock 22 in 40 cal. I think it's WRONG!!!!!

I was a Glock 40 but I wouldn't pick it as my first choice. Given some of the options, I would prefer "none of the above." I picked Martha because I figured she could cook all day and she might be able to carry on somewhat of a conversation, but I really wanted to say a "day with the President" but not the current one unless it was on my terms. If there isn't anything to cook on the island, I might have to rethink my choice, after all a man can't live by bread alone. . . . .

Well, supposedly I am a Glock 22 (bullcrap), but this really illustrates why I hate polls. Almost every question posed, offered me options both of which I would reject. I basically just gave random answers, because there was no "none of the above" or "other". If you asked me whether I prefer being shot in the back of the head (Martha Stewart) or tied to a tree and set on fire (Paris Hilton) I would take the bullet every time. But that hardly means I want, or would enjoy, being executed.

Okay, did anybody take the self-defense quiz? There were a few answers that I disagree with, but need someone better informed to offer their opinion.

Glock 22 in 40 caliber - and I don't like Glocks and the .40 SW is not my choice for a defense gun (or for anything else).

I don't think that the survey is 100% accurate or even totally scientific, but that is just my guess!

Glock 22 in .40 S&W.

I think I have a Glock 23 in .40 S&W somewhere in my safe. Obviously, I haven't fired it in a while. Not much character in Glocks. Still, it's as if everyone has owned one at one time or another. Back in the 90's they were all the rage. Not so much anymore. I'm sure you can all remember that they were demonized as the Evil Black Plastic back then by the less informed in the Senate. They were going to be easy to pass through metal detectors and onto planes and were going to be responsible for all kinds of mayhem. Turns out, in 2001, it was apparently easier to just board planes with box cutters to get the job of taking over an aircraft done.

All of these "What kind of XXX are you?" polls seem to come out the same for me.

In this one, I wanted to be a 1911 but came out a Glock 22.

I did one for dogs. I wanted to be an American Pit Bull Terrier , but came out an American Staffordshire Terrier.

That's how I came out too but, my Glock 22 resides in the safe and my 1911 In my right hip IWB VM2.

I think the test was rigged - I think I'm really a Colt SAA - old - but still abe to handle the basics
