DVD EXCHANGE - "Tom Horn" with Steve McQueen

Post by Hobie »

ATTENTION! All those interested in Tom Horn. Courtesy of 1886 we have a DVD on Tom Horn which will be circulated among the membership. Don't be a party-pooper and fail to send it on. To get on the list, post here and the DVD will progress in the order your handle/name appears in this topic. To give your address to the fella/lady in the line in front of you, send them a PM with the information. Each viewer/participant is responsible for postage to the next person as part of the deal.

Comments/discussion on the movie or topic should be made in the General Discussion forum.

Many thanks to 1886 for this opportunity for all of us.
Sincerely,

Hobie

The Video was awesome. I watched it on my lap top last night. I really enjoyed seeing the 1876, old side by sides, the break top smiths, and I think it was an 1860 used in the film. They had him using a 45-60 at this time but I thought I read somewhere it was a 30 WCF he carried later in years. Either way, I really enjoyed it and the movie is on its way to YK via fed ex today. Thanks

I also read that he carried a .30 W.C.F. in the later years. That was the round that he supposedly used to shoot that boy. It is a good film. 1886.

I never heard who had Tom Horn, so I rented it from Netflix. It was okay, but it's not in my list of re-watchables. That list is topped by Outlaw Josey Wales, the Cowboys, The Shootist, True Grit, Dances with Wolves. It's rainy and cold today, so I may have to break one of those out and watch it (when I get finished with Disc two of Barnaby Jones.)
