What do you guys like in the way of rear sights for a take-down rifle?
I like receiver sights, don't care for tang sights (large hands, don't wanna learn to shoot with my thumb alongside). Suppose a scope might be ok.
Take-Down sights?

Argh!!!! No receiver sights on a nice old Marlin 1893 takedown! No holes in it for a receiver sight, and you sure don't want to be the first to install them!
If it's late enough production to have the Hepburn sight holes on the top rear of the receiver, you could buy a repro from Parts Unknown and put it in existing holes.-Vall

MarlinMann, not to worry, I don't like to D&T original guns.
Good news is I was looking at the Hepburn and will have to see
if that is the route I will take if factory D&T is there otherwise I
see my option is only to use the tang sight.
Do you have a link on Parts Unknown and also what do you
recommend for the tang sight.
In case others don't know it I am getting a Marlin 1893 take-down
and Marlinmann is the only authority I know on them.
Didn't mean to send a scare into ya.
