ATF Form 4473 Shortage

I was told by somebody that the ATF couldn't deliver 4473s fast enough to meet the demand. Our shop has only one left. I was also told that we could copy the form and use the copies but the BATFE sitedoesn't show that. Does anyone here know what's up? What I really need is a link.

As to borrowing forms, that has been done to the point that most locals are down to very few forms.

JetGirl over on RimfireCentral had posted about how well we were all doing buying guns that we've run the ATF out of 4473's. It was a post from Jan 8th and trivialities like that get stuck in my head. I went back over there and paged through some old stuff and saw it. Their search on that forum is not good ... I think the indices are always out of sync. Anyway, she had a link to prove her point.

Thanks. I could not (still can't) get their search to bring it up and their posted open letters end in Nov '08. Some might think this is a conspiracy to enact gun control but I think they are just simply incompetent.

Well, NOW it is on the front page but it is an itty bitty thing/link in small print below "the fold". Their page is way too busy and not well organized.

Oh, yeah. Boss just went through an ATF audit. He's pretty much paranoid now. Was supposed to have his last "meeting" with the inspector yesterday.
