Marlin 30-30 Win

Post by Tennessee Hayre »

I got tired of looking at my old Marlin Win 30-30 with all of the scraps and such so I gave her a paint job. I traded an old guitar for this rifle back in the early 80's and will never part with her. This is also the first time I have done such a thing and thought I would share it with you all. What do you all think about the color of the stain, it is called "Golden Oak"Image

Thanks guys, I am going to order some of that gun blue and get that done as well. I will do the 30-30 first and see how it looks and then i will do the 1895G. I also have a few revolvers that need some work. I think I have found a new project for my down days from the job. (Nothing like watching a good old western as you sand and stain a lever action rifle with a good old chew of copenhagen and a hot cup of strong black coffee.

Tennessee Hayre,

That stock refinish job looks beautiful to me. And from what I saw in the pic, that rifle don't need no touch up bluing.
