Hi guys.I'm new here to the board and an avid levergun fan.I have my father's J.C. Higgins Model 45 in .35 Remington,my question is how can it be dated and can it even be?Is there any info on these guns or website? It's my favorite gun in a large collection between my father and I.Just curious about it.
Thanks
Kyle

A photo and all but the last 2 digits of the serial number would help.billyk338 wrote:Hi guys.I'm new here to the board and an avid levergun fan.I have my father's J.C. Re: New member here with J.C. Higgins Model 45 question
Here's the best answer I could find after Googling "J. C. Higgins Model 45".
"The JC Higgins Model 45 was originally made by Marlin Firearms, and is a variant of the Marlin Glenfield 30A. Marlin made these guns for Sears during the late 1950's through the early 1960's".
Hope that helps. It's at least a start anyway.
