I cut my grass....and weeds..
Hope some of you are having a white Christmas...
I kinda miss the snow.....not shovelling it though!
We even have some flowers blooming
It was in the high 60's today, with a short shower this morning.
I hope it gets cold
MERRY CHRISTMAS

My son & I spent yesterday clearing 18"+ of snow off the roof, can't have it up there when the rain comes today. What a nasty job that is.
Now listen boy, I'm tryin' to teach you somethin'. That ain't an optical illusion, it only LOOKS LIKE an optical illusion.

GREAT Ysabel! Next summer you can come and cut mine!Yep, I've done enough shoveling snow to last a lifetime - I'd rather cut grass.
One of my most detested chores....I let it go darn near to seed before I cut it! I'll take snow ANY day.

Since I'm not home most of the time (home for now being Sudbury, Ontario), I have a guy with a backhoe/front loader John Deere come by the place each time it snows to keep the driveway clear for my wife at $10 a pop.
If I'm at home I'll shovel it myself as I find it relaxing, especially if the snow is coming down in big, fat fluffy flakes. The neighborhood is usually so quiet then you can hear the flakes when they land. Of course when the wind is howling at a kabillion miles an hour that's a different story.

Yep I had to mow the grass also, that rain from last week made the weeds sprout up. I also had to get a cage up around my tomato plants and 1st phase fertilize pepper plants. I have Bouganvllea in bloom and Cape Plumbago in bloom. I have another week before my tangerines come down, then probably a month before grapefruit and oranges are ripe.
Sometimes I get down on living in Florida.
And then I talk to my friends and family in Virginia and West Virginia.

Don't laugh, it happens. Winter of '76/'77, I was stationed at Eglin AFB in the panhandle of Florida. Got up one morning to drive to work and it was cold. A few hours later it was snowing. Can you imagine, a buch of full grown firemen acting like kids, building snowmen and throwing snow balls in Florida.Pete44ru wrote:I hope it gets cold & snows in Florida, too !Back At Ya ! ....And a Happy New Year, too !

snow, sun, mowing grass, shoveling snow
Up here in the banana belt region of North Central Kansas, we have had ice on the ground, with some snow on top of that, and below freezing temps for about 2 or 3 weeks now. It's been bad enough that I have to keep my lever guns by the stove, warm them up, in order for them to function properly when I need to blast something outside.
To hell with them fellas, buzzards gotta eat same as the worms.
