OT My boys turns 8 today, 1 October 2008

Where does the time go?

Here he is, just after his first birthday:

Just after his third birthday:

About three years ago:

Summer before last:

(And yes, I have lots of other pics, just not on photobucket.)

The good news is, I know just how brief our time is, and I savor most (not all, I'm not a big fan of the poor behavior times, but it's part of being a kid) every moment. He'll be up and out, a grown man, before I can blink. I hope he's having as much fun being my boy as I am being his dad.

Happy Birthday, Bud!

I've got a great dad myself, but he and I don't have the kind of memories you show us in these pictures. Good on you, for shaping and making a little man as it shows here. He's on his way.

Happy Birthday indeed!

Quinn, I know exactly what you mean. Every time I blink it seems another month shoots by. I can't believe it is October already. When I was growing up I distinctly remember my parents complaining about how fast time flew by. I thought they were nuts! A school day seemed to last forever, the week just drug on by, and a school year was darn near infinite. Now I can relate. I swear that every time I leave on a business trip they grow an inch while I am gone - even if it is just for the day. :(

You have the right attitude - enjoy each precious moment, because before you know it - and way too soon - they are off on their own...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY from over the pond.
My son is 21 now and it seems like only yesterday I was taking him hunting with his BB gun. :)

My college-attending daughter was just 'recently' toddling around using her Little Mermaid umbrella to pop-open and scare the roosters when she went out to get eggs, because the roosters were almost as big as she was. Now I hope she has a 'bigger umbrella' for use against the boys... :x

Happy Birthday to your son.

Mine turns 21 tomorrow. My daughter will be 26 in a month and a half. (She just told us she is going to have our second grandbaby in April)

I have a PA-63 sitting on my bench waiting for him to decide that he wants it.

Enjoy these early years because they will soon be living thier own life.

Happy birthday, young man! Looks like he got started on elk early. I was quite a bit older.

Just keep this thought in mind. To your son these ARE the good old days. With your pictures you leave him, he will always remember how much fun he had with his OLD MAN. :) Todd BTW my boys turns 18 December 31 at 18:26
