Prayer request

Post by junkbug »

Please keep my father in your prayers. He is 82 years old, and had a lung removed 22 years ago.

Now he has pnemonia. I do not know if he will leave the hospital alive. His progress is very up and down. He is still lucid, at times, but is getting paniky about being confined the way he has been.

Thanks for all the help.

Thanks everyone.

I just returned home from the hospital, went there after leaving work. He just wants to be let out of bed, and return home. My mother, who is 80, is not capable of caring for him in this condition. We have started talking about a hospice.

The lung problems are responding to treatment, but his kidney functions are trending down. He seems to be losing the will to live, but not the will to struggle against his arm restraints and the IV tubes. But the struggling is becaming increasingly feeble. Its absolutely heart wrenching to watch.

Right now, my greatest prayer is that he find peace through Christ, and be given strength to endure his final sufferings.

Thanks again.

I think GOD stopped listening to my prayers long ago, but for the sake of you and your dad I will definitely try again maybe he'll hear me this time since it's not for my sake.

My Dad passed away last night at about 11:40pm. The family was with him untill around 8:00pm. We left shortly after the hospital staff administered morphine to calm his breathing, which had been very labored. To me, it seemed he didn't want to let go with us around. He was breathing peacefully when we left, right after saying the Lords prayer together by his side.

I pray that he may find peace in Jesus Christ.
