I didn't realize that. Well I certainly could stand to send you a few. I don't mind having a couple around, but they get out of hand fast. They can do an incredible amount of work in a short time.
Dad just keeps moving. He says if you stop doing something, in no time you can't. Thay was the impetus for me to sell my Harley and go back to a dirt bike. Figured 8f I didn't do it soon, I wouldn't be able to.
I certainly have seen a difference in him. He has slowed quite a bit, but Holy smokes! I'll be long dead when I'm 85 haha. Gonna keep him going as long as I can.

Good for you, OW! And congratulations to your old Pop for his insistence on being active.

I had ordered a 4 cavity mold from Accurate Molds, their aluminum version identical to the Lyman #358156 158 gr gascheck bullet. They say their turnaround time these days is 8 weeks and today is 8 weeks. I sent them an email asking about the status of my order and they replied thay they shipped out to me a couple of days ago. I have half a dozen of their molds and have always been very impressed with their quality. I'm a bit overdue to cast up a mess of bullets so I'll try the mold out on a cool morning in the next few days.

Thanks Walt. I have the Lyman version of that mold and really like it. It's a great bullet and very versatile.

Got up to camp last week and got a temporary bridge across so I could clean up the other approach. Got a fair amount done and did a bunch of mowing too.

OW, what's the line crossing the water to the left of your ladder/bridge in your third picture?

I also have 3 or 4 Lyman #358156 molds including a couple made by Ideal. I have a Lyman 4 cavity mold but it's so heavy that I don't do any extended casting with it. The bullet diameters and weights of the 2 cavity molds are all different and since I like to cast using 2 molds simultaneously they don't do me much good when I want to cast a fair number of bullets. What I particularly like about the Accurate molds is that I can use 2 cavity mold handles on their 4 cavity molds rather than the clumsy mold handles used on the Lyman 4 cavity molds. Those have the pivot on the far side of the mold blocks. Another thing I appreciate about Accurate molds for gas check bullets is that the gas checks can easily be pushed onto the bullets by hand.

I have had a RNFP Accurate 158 gr mold in an aluminum 4 cavity configuration for a couple of years. A very nice mold, I want to use that one and the new SWC mold simultaneously and so be able to crank out a fair number of .357 bullets in one sitting.

Of course, dad was bound and determined to go across that ladder, so I ran that rope so he'd have something to hold on to.

I have my Stevens .410 back in action thanks to jeepnik generously sending me an extractor that was impossible to find in the UK, thanks my friend..

We got a heavy rain last night. It's been raining most evenings here for the past few weeks but last night was particularly heavy. The drought we experienced for the months preceding the rain has brought the bears down off the mountain in search of food. Unfortunately, people who are too lazy to have their trash cans out before 7:00AM, instead leaving them out all night frequently find their trash scattered far and wide. I have a couple of game cameras set up beside my driveway; this guy came by night before last.

Warm and cloudy here with a few showers overnight, not much happening at the moment. My ex is coming up to see our son tomorrow so I'll be keeping a low profile

Wow. That's a close one Walt. Have to be careful around there.
There was a big rock that had fallen off the bridge abutment and was in the stream. I really wanted to get it out but wasn't sure I could. Tuesday, I went up and managed to get a couple cable chokers under it. I hitched them to my logging chain, then backed the tractor out to the edge and managed to pick it up with the 3 point hitch. Once I had it I managed to pull it up over the edge and got it in position I was surprised how smooth it went. Then I hauled some more rocks down to fill and build up some more.
Rode out to see the Amish yesterday. They have my Lumber ready, so the bridge will have to wait. I will have to get going on the shed.
I had to get an o2 sensor out of Old Red yesterday. I had put it in 22 years ago. I had never seized it, but after 22 years of Jeep stuff, it didn't matter. For a while I didn't think I was going to prevail. The sensor was butchered and still hadn't budged. A bunch of Kroil, heated red hot, a pipe wrench, and a 2 foot pipe on the end of the wrench and it finally gave in.
Oh.......and I've got 2 dogs with the squirts. So yeah.....it was a day.

Is the rock you pulled out of the water the one you have in your bucket or is the one in the bucket a counterweight so that pulling with your 3 point hitch doesn't lift your front wheels?
