Death got another one.
A short while back, I commented in another post about mt Brother in law's brother Scott having brain cancer. The prayers were appreciated. He was able to spend Father's Day with his parents and brothers and sister. He was lucid, and had a good day. About 2 weeks ago, he took a turn for the worse. He passed away yesterday. I think the prayers helped to give him time for the family get together.
I didn't know Scott, and I doubt anyone on here knew him. He hunted, and he worked in the oilfields.
Thank you to all who prayed for him. It really meant a lot to his brother my Brother in law.

Brian, I'm glad that he had those precious, lucid days of family time. Sorry that he passed.

Thank you for sharing.
We all have an appointment with the end of this life. I have come close twice in the last 12 months. I realized afterwards that I had no fear of dying, but since I am in fairly good shape I would rather stick around as long as I am able. I once asked the Lord why we humans die so young. Now, I am not claiming God spoke to me, but the thought that immediately popped into my consciousness was, "No matter how long you live, it would never be long enough because you were created for eternity."
I seriously have no idea what it looks like after this life. I trust that Papa God has something far better. I am content to wait His time on making the transition, though it seems I have pushed close to the edge more than a couple times.

Dying is on my Bucket List.
Perhaps I could say 'Kicking the Bucket is on my Bucket List'...
Thankfully, I am a procrastinator, but eventually I know I'll get arount to it.

Sorry for your loss, I know it's difficult. I lost an uncle way back in the 60's to brain cancer. I often wondered if his service in WWII might have had something to do with it. And I lost my mother to ovarian cancer, after a 4-year battle.

This is how I would like to go out...
"When your time comes to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song, and die like a hero going home." - Chief Tecumseh, Shawnee
Prayers up for Scott and his family.
