Seems like an odd thing to try to silence. Most people don't use a silencer on a revolver since the cylinder to forcing cone gap will allow noise to escape no matter how good the silencer is. Probably why it didn't see production. A good silenced semiauto .22 would be much more effective.

I remember that it's been said that you couldn't make a silencer work on a revolver because of the cylinder gap. I still seemed loud in the video, but they were shooting it inside, and that would have made it sound louder than outside on the range, etc. I figure they were using high speed long rifle ammo. But I bet if one was to load it with shorts, or subsonic's, it would be fairly quit.

I remember when Jerry Miculek put out a 'Covid Cabin Fever' video - He decided to entertain himself and his viewers by rounding up a bunch of expired canned goods from his garage and taking him out back and shooting them. So here we have a world class competitive shooter who's doing the same kind of redneck hillbilly stuff the rest of us do. I thought that was pretty cool.

I always assumed that the Nagant revolver was the only revolver that could be suppressed although Hollywood disagreed, perhaps for once they were correct

Revolvers with silencers always seemed to me to be a hilarious gaffe, but the Nagant has me scratching my head, due to the revolver's unusual lockup and case design. I'd love to see actual decibel numbers. I owned a couple back in the golden age of surplus and wish I still had one.

It's not terribly uncommon. People have been putting silencers on revolvers for as long as there have been silencers. (the world over)

It's only our gun culture know it all's who make a big deal out of it. We love to apply a certain logic, but only so far.

Why put a "silencer" on a revolver, the cylinder gap is going to let out gas/noise?
Well why put one on a "high power" rifle, it's not going to silence the supersonic crack?
Why put one on a semi auto, it's not going to silence the port blast?
Why put one on anything, it's not going to make it silent?
Everything's not 0 or 100, there are things in between.

I would have liked more detail on the face of the cylinder that was pointed out. But, I'd still, like Miculek said, "I want one!"
