Ejector rod housing screw keeps coming lose on SS Bisley

When I was working on swapping hammers on my Bisley, I noticed that the ejector rod housing was a little loose, and found the screw on barrel a little loose. I tightened it back up, but when shooting it today, really only a couple of cylinders full of 44 Special and a couple cylinder's full of factory 44 mag, that the housing was loose again. I tightened it back again, but I suspect it won't stay tight. I know that my Super Blackhawk with the square trigger guard has an alloy ejector housing, but this one has a stainless one, so more inertia on that screw. Which is one reason Ruger went to the alloy ejector rod housing a long time ago.

I think maybe the screw is a few thousands too long, to really get good pressure on the housing. So, I thought about shortening that screw just a tiny bit and then using blue Loctite. Does anyone have a better fix on the problem? I know some people will actually go back to an alloy ejector rod housing on the stainless guns.

I would try Locktite first. If you really want it on there permanently, try JB Weld. I only use JB Weld if something is going to need to stay put permanently.
