...I guess you can't mock someone using a 'gay' voice now...

I'm guessing the next thing is if we cross our legs wrong it will be 'cultural appropriation'...

Pretty much all the sports seem to go through this nonsense...

I used to LOVE NASCAR.

When they stopped racing at North Wilksboro because the track was too small
to generate the numbers they wanted, well that was the beginning of the end.
Now it's all about the numbers, and the sponsors don't want ANYTHING to affect
the brands' status in the marketplace. Mega-corp sponsors now run most of
America's professional sports.

The NFL is now controlled by TV and communications mega-corps, and that's
where the profit is. Look at the Super Bowl - a one-hour contest that now takes
6 hours. Players have lots of time to rest, momentum is destroyed, etc.. Regular
season games are scripted to the minute. Who by? TV and communication networks.

MLB is similar. The money is made in TV rights.

The NBA is completely corrupt now that there is online gambling. Players are
shaving points, rebounds, etc., and taking themselves out of games early so
that the numbers work for the gambling houses. And let's not forget Tim Donaghy,
the corrupt ref. All just the tip of a nasty iceberg.

Note that the days of sitting down with a cold one and turning on a ball game are
long gone. Have to have a subscription to a sports channel or some sort of sports
package now, particularly if one wants to follow a particular team.

The people running nascar now are ruining the sport.
What made them famous was a little race in the middle winter "the 1979 Daytona 500"
when two guys beat the stuff out of each other on the back stretch.
