It’s important to watch for changes.
For instance, I tend to have coffee at a certain place and pray while the sun come up. There are a variety of middle eastern men who I see every Sunday morning without fail.
None of them were present this morning. Does it mean anything? Perhaps, perhaps not. But it’s worth paying attention to.

Re: Stay strapped boys.
Great point Scott.
The last time I was in San Antonio I got stuck for hours with delays at the airport (like 8 hours of delays). I found a quiet corner to say the rosary. I'm about halfway through when a man approaches me and points to the floor beside me (I was sitting on the ground as there were no seats left). I make the gesture to go ahead and sit down. He rolls out a prayer rug and starts his prayers. At the time I thought it was rather encouraging that a Roman Catholic and a Muslim could be praying side by side.
But after the disaster of the Biden border, now I worry about sleeper cells and lone wolf attacks. Sure does look like the attack in Austin was the latter...

As Team Leader for our Church Security I have been stressing over this. I added an extra post for each service today, and I carried significantly more firepower than usual. You know there are sleeper cells amongst us. When will they activate, and what will they target?

Ted, I'm CO for our Church's team, and also lead one of our Mass teams. We put out some new instructions as well. We're checking a lot more bags as they come in. We did intercept a firearm at the last Mass of the day. Happens about once a month.TedH wrote: ↑Sun Mar 01, 2026 8:56 pm As Team Leader for our Church Security I have been stressing over this. The mohammedans are just over halfway through this year's very onerous mandatory holy fast. The few I've conversed with on the subject say that they start out strong but as the weeks transpire, the smells of baked goods and brewing coffee and sizzling bacon during daylight hours are tortuous which might explain their absence.Scott Tschirhart wrote: ↑Sun Mar 01, 2026 7:51 pm It’s important to watch for changes.

Although the U.S. could eliminate the Iranian military easily (and probably will), the Democrats let in and enabled millions of illegal aliens over the past decade, so whatever their 'trigger' event or code or signal is, I wouldn't be surprised if killing off Khamenei would be one of the 'triggers' such cells would use.

So - stay alert (as most all of you probably already do....
Sometimes they go after symbolic targets like government buildings, or strategic ones like military assets, or high density events like sports stadiums, or things like shopping malls that are more ubiquitous and scare more people in the long run. Same with churches, as they are more 'down home' and frighten more people, plus they get to specifically attack an 'enemy' religion.
Other than churches, most of such instances aren't likely to affect us as individuals because we probably won't be in those other places, but they're also smart enough to probably go after infrastructure, so I wouldn't be surprised if there is an Internet lockup or power grid failure coming up. Hopefully not a major one.
We can thank the DEMOCRATS (and RINOs) for this.....

It appears that even in Texas, it is time for condition orange for a while. I go to a Cowboy Church. Which one is not important. There are members who concealed carry.

Not playing this time. 1911, AMT .45 Backup and the ever present .22 NAA mini. Scout/Squad in vehicle. I actually do wish I had my Stag AR-15 still here in California for my wife. But, anything that isn't legal here has long since been relocated to another state.

Re: Stay strapped boys.
I am head of our Safety team at our little country church or usually a little over a hundred people on any given Sunday. We carry, some of us carry two guns when on duty. But in the congregation, there are several more who carry concealed that are not on the team. We are not a soft target. And being rural, we are almost all hunters to a degree. I mean for many of us, firearms are deeply rooted in our culture. If I was a terrorist, I would want to find a softer target. And that's our thought process. We are not sneaky about it, it's well know that we have a strong safety team, and even without the team, we are far from defenseless. I think this helps on other domestic problems as well.

Last, the softer targets are urban churches. Usually larger, and generally attended by folks who think carrying a fire arm is bad. I personally believe some of those is how the church administration found out about our group and others like us. They put pressure on the Archbishop, and being good politician he bent over.

You may be exactly right and their absence from the coffee shop could well be innocent. I’m sorry if I cast aspersions on these men who didn’t deserve it.Ray wrote: ↑Sun Mar 01, 2026 9:17 pmThe mohammedans are just over halfway through this year's very onerous mandatory holy fast. I could never understand why anyone with deep religious faith feel like carrying a firearm was a bad thing. Firearms defend and protect human life. Like knives or medications anything, they can be used for good, or misused for bad, but when you need a gun to protect human life there's not much else that you can substitute.
For those who say it is God's job to protect us, I would counter with the fact that God gave us brains and hands with which to invent things that we would die without, whether it be clothing and shelter in northern climates, tools for processing our food, Or weapons to protect ourselves from predators, including human ones. I had a friend who wouldn't wear a seat belt because she felt like that was an affront to God, implying that she didn't trust God to protect her. I guess I figure God expects me to do my part, so I put on the seat belt, stay sober, keep my tires and brakes in good shape, and figure that means that there's a little less work for God to do; that way maybe God can have more time to focus on making sure the bridge doesn't collapse or the railroad grade-crossing signal doesn't malfunction, or maybe help someone else who didn't get their tires checked recently.
It's the same in health care. Sometimes people think it's weird that a physician would be pro-gun. Since our primary job is to protect human life through the use of our health care knowledge, it seems only natural and in fact expected, that we would want to protect human life in any other way we can. The way I primarily do it is hopefully through provision of high-quality health care, but I also try to have basic proficiency in firearms. It's similar to the job of a police officer or soldier, but with tasks and skill set reversed. The primary way they protect human life often has to be through the use of firearms, yet it would be silly not to expect them to also have basic knowledge of first aid, which is 'health care'. The police officer or soldier isn't going to try to go into an operating room to do elective surgery, or try to manage diabetes, but they can remove foreign objects and put on splints and give shots of glucose when needed. So I think each and every physician should be completely expected to be able to use a handgun out to 50 yards with enough skill to deter some kind of mall-shooter or whatever, and should have the ability to use a rifle out to 200 yards for the same purpose if necessary. Just as the police officer or soldier should have a first aid kit at hand, The physician should have a firearm at hand.
ALWAYS be armed...because 'unlike the movies, in the real-world, there isn't scary music to warn you bad stuff is about to happen...'

Some of the opposition to taking care of yourself is religious.
Ignorant and ignoring directions otherwise, but religious.

I see reports often that Islamic supporters and Muslim numbers are growing in Texas. Shocking to me as that's the last place I expected to hear this about.

I've heard Nick Freitas Comment on his show that sometimes the worst places are where Republicans take things for granted That everything's gonna be OK because they keep winning the elections. That's when you get the RINOs elected and that's when you get a lot of nasty stuff going on just beneath the surface in a community that people assumed couldn't happen.marlinman93 wrote: ↑Thu Mar 05, 2026 12:23 pm I see reports often that Islamic supporters and Muslim numbers are growing in Texas.
