S&W 617 q
Local shop has a -6 10 shot , and a -5 6 shot .both used , Is one any better than the other assuming same condition .

I'd go with the 6" 10-shot model. Less reloading and more shooting. Cylinder is plenty strong enough for the .22 rimfire cartridge.

For a gun the size of the 617, why not go with the 10 shot. Now the smaller 63 is the perfect size for the small 6 shot cylinder.
