I didn't realize the JM ones were so highly sought after - check this listing out - especially the 'buy now' price... :shock:

yea i saw that last night. and the figure in the stock is nothing to write home about.

Yup, I'll admit that I funded a few nicer acquisitions to my collection by buying 5 or 6 "JM"-marked Marlins locally over the course of 1 year for < $400 each, and then selling them for no less than $750 each after the "Remlin" fiasco became common knowledge among gun owners.

i have 2 JMs and an extensively professionally worked over remlin (all 1895s in 45-70). the JM guide gun in stainless my buddy wants one of i bought for about $550. i could probably sell it for $2500 or so now. not gonna unless i have to though as i have a son and grandson drooling over everything gun related except the reloading stuff, eagerly
awaiting my demise.
