And here I like to wander the hills packing the 25/20. Sounds like I am dangerously under-gunned

Tim is an interesting character. That said, I don't need to encounter any Dogmen out there.
When we were kids mom would tell us outlandish lies to keep us from venturing too far into the woods. The main threats were quicksand and the wendigo, sometimes Sasquatch - she must not have known about Dogmen or I'm sure she would've included that as a hazard.

I saw that and would agree on his choice of firearms. Not my idea of something I want to hunt, from what I have seen on the target. I do use those slugs for Grizzly.

i like his videos
He proud of his products! great stuff. Jeff Quinn used a bunch of his stuff.
But 55 bucks for 20, 44 mag bear loads!
Where I live, near the Ocala National Forest, we have (3) 600 lb black bears being monitored by FWC.
and a lot more 400 and 500 pounders!
I carry 3 44 mag semi wad cutters light loads and 3 hot jacketed hollow points.

Funny, but Lasercast bullets have always advertised that there is silver in the mix. I have used them, and my aftermarket .40 S&W barrel for my Glock likes them. That barrel says right on the box that it is safe for reloads within SAAMI plessure limits.
Aren't bullets with silver supposed to kill cryptids?
Anyway, I like the .40, and lead seems nice and accurate in that caliber when run through traditional land and groove rifling. Somewhere around 900 fps is giving good accuracy, no need for a gas check, and cycles perfectly. 155 grain lead is a mild recoiling round at 900 fps. Even up to 1,000 fps it is still mild. I am not going to search for a wherewoof or a doggieman to test effectiveness. If they come looking for me, I guess I will try it. Maybe the Cahoons in Louisiana have a spare Roup Garoo to test it on. Yes, I know Loup Garou is French for werewolf, and the mush mouthed Arcadian transplants in Looseeana, especially near Nawlins, call it a roogaroo.

I’ve seen a grizzly bear up close.
I’ve never seen a dog man. I’ve never seen a Sasquatch. I’ve never seen a creature from Boggy Creek. I’ve never seen a boogie man.
My life is simple. I intend to keep it that way.
What I’ve seen I respect a lot more than rumors of things I haven’t even seen.

There's a lot more chance that you will run into an evil human than you running into a dogman or sasquatch or yeti.

Jim, that is totally true. Easily proven.

I think someone went hunting with a little bit too much to drink...
I did not watch it all the way through.....just the very beginning about the slugs
I thought the Dogmen were a lost tribe of Cheyenne Dog Soldiers.

The Dog Man, IIRC, is a shape shifting cryptid in various myths and legends. Folks in Appalachia still report seeing them, along with other cryptids (there's a LOT of weird reports that come out of Appalachia. That's a whole other world.) They've also been reported near the Cahokia Mounds in Illinois and the Mark Twain National Forest here in Missouri. I learned a long time ago not to go chasing bad things unless I absolutely had to. Because usually, it'll be more than you bargained for.
BTW, 'Last of the Dogmen' was an outstanding movie!
