They need to fix the JUDGES - cops can arrest criminals left and right (and black and white), but when the judges just let them off, particularly if it is due to qualification based on melanin content, they will be repeat-offenders forever.
Any 'crackdown' on sentencing (or policing, for that matter) will be labeled 'raaaaacist' by the same crowd that so nasally intones their favorite words like 'incluuuusive' and 'progresssssive'.

Or this could be less about current crime in D.C. and more about pre-positioning of riot-control assets for when some of those high ranking Democrat criminals get indicted.
