OT - PBS Nova Plug.

Post by cshold »

Just a quick plug for Nova on PBS.
Last evening they aired:
“Secrets of the Samurai Sword”
Very worth while IMHO.

It was that interesting that I plan to watch it
again if I get the chance.

Second time I've watched it. Definitely an art form!

I was amazed at the sword polisher. Anybody who can sit there and grind on a sword with an Arkansas stone for a few weeks gets my respect. Did I hear that right,..he was a 14th generation Sword polisher..?

I saw it once before. I could watch it again. Can you say, tradition?

No good me watching it, Samurai Swords have been banned in the nanny state that was once Great Britain. They are far too dangerous for us Brits to have!

Well duh, those aren't nearly as dangerous as a real live samurai sword.  I thought everyone knew that.
