Have you been to the Cowboy Hall of Fame?
Probably been 40 years since I was there as a kid.

It's a wonderful place, officially called National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum in Oklahoma City. You'll enjoy it.

Wife and I went there with her mom back in 2013 and it's a fantastic museum. Fairly large with lots of exhibits and well worth seeing and spending time there.

Buy extra wiper blades.
Every time I've been in or through OK it's rained on me the whole time.

Are you sure that wasn't Seattle you were in?

I've driven through Oklahoma dozens of times and I've never had rain around Oklahoma City. You must just be unlucky. :D

I'd feel a need to visit the memorial museum and send more prayers for the innocents who lost their lives 30 years ago in the Murrah Building bombing.

Going to the site of the Oklahoma City bombing was a somber experience but I'm glad I did it.

There's also an excellent military museum in Oklahoma City or just outside it. When we visited my brother there we went through the museum and loved it. My niece was an assistant curator at the Cowboy Hall of fame at the time and arranged a personal guided tour through the gun collection with Richard Rattenbury (the firearms curator) before the museum opened that morning. It's a small collection, but worth seeing.
And if you get enough time to travel a little I'd highly suggest you get to Tulsa and the Davis Museum! One of the finest firearms collections anywhere!

We are here to see Alan Jackson (who doesn’t look like Michael or any of the Jackson brothers). But I have all day tomorrow to play.

Yes, he was firearms curator there when my niece worked with him. I'd guess he might be retired now?

The one time I went there it was well worth the visit. It is outside of Enid near the airport.

It indeed is well worth it. Leave the check book at home!
Enid is my second home basically, it’s where the wife is from.
Check if the Tulsa gun show times to be when you’re there. It’s huge too.
