Heritage manufacturing / Rossi 92s

I saw a video that indicated that Rossi was going to discontinue the R92 and that they would be made by Heritage instead. Can anyone verify whether this is true, or fake news? Also does anyone have experience with Heritage model 92 rifles? How do they compare to Rossis?

I looked at a Heritage 22 levergun and was not impressed as the receiver cover's 'antiquing' looked painted on. Haven't seen a centerfire version yet.

Don't know the direct answer to your question about Rossi stopping. But thought that Heritage was maybe Buying a version/model from Rossi. Note different buttstock (carbine) on a rifled patterned forearm/nose cap/octagon barrel.

They all are under Taurus. The Heritage 92 is made in Brazil just like Rossi. Like Chevy/GMC. And the Roscoe is just a Taurus 85. Maybe they are doing some brand restructuring

Yeah, I've been "trolling" Rossi's IG account for MONTHS. Every time they post something, I'd just reply..."Ranch Hand". Finally, they replied "check out Heritage" with a link. Pretty sure they're all the same. I REALLY like the looks of the stainless/octagon.



...alas, it's in .357 only. I'll probably pick up a blued model in .44 to SBR
