Ramping up book sales

#1 Post by 4t5 » Mon Jan 27, 2020 5:51 pm

So the democrates said they had enough evidence to go forward with impeachment on our president, now the evidence is crumbling under scrutiny.
The senate is supposed try the case based on the evidence brought forward, now the democrates want testimony, from john Bolton who stands to gain big from sales of his new book, have I gotten this right.
They want the jury (senate),to act as prosecutor, if this goes through, so much for fair and just trials.

Ohhh, Pandora is hollering “bring the witnesses!!”...
Let ‘em. We’ll see a crazy parade by both sides. Sure to be a popcorn worthy Pelosi show.
Kind regards,

This was just part of the Dem's strategy. They knew from the get-go that they stood no chance of actually removing President Trump from office. Their goal is to be able to paint the Senate trial as unfair so as to target vulnerable Republicans running for reelection. They know their field is incredibly weak and if the economy holds, Trump should win (and may win in a landslide). If they can turn the Senate, they can prevent him replacing Ginsberg and possibly Breyer with strong Constitutionalists.

The other thing they wanted to do was tie up Bernie in the Senate so he couldn't campaign in Iowa. This hurts Bernie (and Sanders, Warren and Amy whats-her-name), and helps their preferred candidate, Biden. At least, that was the theory. Doesn't look like that strategy is going to pay off, as Biden hasn't been able to turn this into an advantage at all (what a putz).
