Virginia Dems Withdraw AR-15 Confiscation Bill (Thanks NRA Members)

#1 Post by Old No7 » Tue Jan 14, 2020 2:22 pm

Thanks to MANY many NRA Members in VA...

Virginia Democrats withdrew an AR-15 confiscation bill Monday (click for link) "after thousands of NRA members showed up to oppose new gun controls".

Great news for gun owners in VA -- and around the country! Way to set an example!

8) 8) 8)

Don't drop your guard for a minute. Virginia, like many other gun-restricted states, used to be very gun friendly. Don't think it can't happen to you.

It isn't over until every last one of the Democrats are GONE from legislature....
....and none of the remaining RINOs even DARE to whisper in the back hallways about anything involving 'gun control'...

Great first step in the right direction. Now, they need to keep going.

They withdrew SB16 but still have HB961 in play (and others) which do the same thing. This is FAR from over. I hope all that can show up at the capital on 20 Jan for the demonstration if not to lobby the House of Delegates.
Sincerely,

Hobie

What is your feel for how the local/state LEOs will respond to Government's request to do harm to gun owners?

Agreed - good news. I think this may have been a bit of a red herring on the Dem's part though. Sure, many of the rabid leftists wanted them to go for broke. Others realized that asking for all of it, right up front, would allow them to then "scale back" to appear "reasonable" and still push the ball forward. Remember, they proposed over a half dozen gun control measures. How many are still in the cue?
