Movies for SnowFlakes...

#1 Post by AJMD429 » Sun Oct 27, 2019 6:06 pm

I wonder if the SnowFlake crowd ever watches movies like The Patriot, or Schindler's List, or Defiance, or any other of the many movies depicting REAL events when governments have all the power.....and all the guns....????

I think they should be required to watch such things; they are seemingly so enthralled with 'media' and seem to believe all the stupid things they spend time watching. Obviously they are too lazy or illiterate to actually read any history, but perhaps such movies would leave an impression...???

I probably hope for too much...... :|

Anyway - I watch such movies periodically just to motivate me to never compromise when it comes to freedom.

.
"The Patriot" is fiction.

However, there is a new movie about Richard Jewell coming out that I want to see.

"The Patriot" is Historical fiction.
.
There; I fixed it for you.

Many of the main characters or events are indeed fictionalized, but they are set against actual events with real people that are well documented as fact. The motives and actions of the characters also represent real people from history, based on diaries or newspaper accounts from the period, with some supporting dialog made up to help tell the story.

Would you rather have them watch "The Guns Of Autumn" from 1975?

Most Snowflakes would probably think that Donald Sutherland's character in Kelly's Heroes is based on a real person. The heist was real, but there is no way a 1960s Hippy would be commanding a tank in WWII.
