More mass shootings....Texas & Alabama....

#1 Post by AJMD429 » Sat Aug 31, 2019 10:07 pm

....just in time to ramp up emotions for a 'background check' (backdoor registration) vote.

I'm sure if you slip the wrong kind of person some LSD you can get some pretty aberrant behavior, and if you pick the right person, or coach them beforehand, you can pretty well predict they will harm someone with the gun you provided them.....of course that only happens in movies, or other countries.... :|

I agree they are statistically trivial, but they are great for starting an emotional and political stampede.

The emotional thinkers who insist that something be done even if it causes more harm are the ones driving the damages. Just get an emotional thinker angry and they will attack and lash out at anyone and everyone. Can you find a single mass shooting perpetrated by a logical thinker?

President Trump said in an interview that background checks wouldn't have stopped either of the most recent shooters.

Maybe, maybe not.

What that statement really tells me is that 'they' are looking more closely at banning something.

Time will tell.

Interesting that the one citizen who would have had a chance to stop the Texas shooter was the carjacking victim, who by law (he was a postal worker) would have been disarmed. Quite possibly he was simply shot without warning, but he may have been the only one who would have even seen the guy approaching.

The postal worker was a she. Latino female, under 30.

Unarmed, of course.
