Question on Presidential Power

#1 Post by AJMD429 » Fri Jun 07, 2019 7:13 pm

.... does the president of the United States still have the authority to unilaterally decide what is on the menu when he's flying on Air Force One...???

From what I can tell this is still a power that Congress and the various district courts around the country are still allowing the president to have, but the way things are going, I thought I'd better check to be sure, because it doesn't seem like you should have that power, being a Republican; perhaps a Democrat could be trusted with them, but not a Republican.

He evidently can't be trusted to appoint Supreme Court Justices
He evidently can't be trusted to appoint District Court Justices
He evidently can't be trusted to restrict immigration from terrorist nations
He evidently can't be trusted to apply tariffs

So hopefully he can at least decide the menu.....?

If he does, he shouldn't.

He and every Chief Executive should be forced to eat whatever is on the lunch menu in the Chicago Public Schools.

Government office attracts the power-mad, yet it's people who just want to be left alone to live life on their own terms who are considered dangerous.

Yet, Nancy Pee-lousy is allowed to have $50,000 for 1 week of food when she takes a trip at public expense. Obviously there are huge differences in what Demonrats are allowed to do.
