Collusion from the past

#1 Post by AJMD429 » Fri Mar 29, 2019 9:58 pm

Mark Levin had some interesting historical perspective on 'collusion' I'd not heard before - https://youtu.be/BSSScTOD5MA?t=1925

I hadn't heard the thing about Ted Kennedy asking the KGB to help him beat Reagan before....

Why is everyone so naive and hypocritical about trump?

There might be a few millionaires who got there without breaking the rules but there are no billionaires who made their mark in N.Y.C. real estate without either greasing the palms or intimidating or even eliminating people who get in their way. This is the harsh reality of high finance, commerce, industry and even agriculture......

You cannot even begin to do business overseas without bribing a beaurocrat or elected official. So why is everybody so obtuse on this subject?

Well, he's not breaking the emoluments clause, or they would have impeached him by now. Any thing he did before becoming president cannot be used against him presently. Only after he's left office. He didn't go to jail BEFORE being POTUS, and I doubt he'll go to jail AFTER.
Truthfully, has anybody NOT fudged on their taxes or used every legal loophole to avoid paying more?

every legal loophole to avoid paying more
this is not illegal or immoral... the supreme court says that no one is obligated to pay any more in taxes than they are obligated to pay. [Grizz paraphrase]

besides which, anyone who wants to pay more than they owe may do so.

Exactly.... AND, a person's release of their taxes is not required. For anybody. Financial statements are a different matter, and Trump's passed with flying colors.
BTW, find any multi-billion dollar company that doesn't have dozens of lawsuits pending, and I'll say you didn't look very hard.

I didn't vote for him because he was squeaky clean and of the highest moral character. I voted for him because it was my opinion that he could fix the mess our economy was in and that he would be less likely to be a jackbooted thug dictator than the other candidate. Any big business that doesn't use every available legal loophole to cut down on the tax burden is doomed to failure. Why give the Government more money to waste than necessary?

Ted Kennedy was probably buried with a mouthful of garlic and a stake through his heart to keep him from coming back.
