The simple-mindedness of the Left

#1 Post by AJMD429 » Thu Mar 21, 2019 6:10 am

Instead of analyzing public policy in and of itself, they simply look at who is speaking, and whoever it is, will always be either 'good' or 'bad', based on the usual virtue-signaling and paternalistic, statist ideology.

In October 1992, a presidential candidate announced his campaign with the mantra of "Make America Great Again", and it was 'cheerful', 'refreshing', and 'energizing', according to the 'news' media. But they loved Clinton, and would spend the next three decades covering for everything he and his wife did.

But 23 years later, that slogan is 'mean-spirited', 'hateful', and 'racist', according to the same 'news' media. This time the words were uttered by Trump, who the media decided wore the black cowboy hat instead of the white one, and they have spent all their time since then blaming Trump for everything but the weather. No, I correct myself - they blame him for that, too.

Of course we've all seen the college-campus videos, where our wonderfully 'educated' young citizens nod in agreement when they are told something Donald Trump said, but told that the words came from Obama or Clinton. Then they take something Obama or Clinton said, tell the young voter that it was said by Trump, and their Pavlovian response is to scorn whatever was said as 'clearly the words of a racist' or 'a threat to freedom' and that they would 'definitely oppose such a policy'.

The left are destroying their rotator cuffs from patting themselves on the back while virtue signaling. They are thinking only with their emotions, and feel that anyone who thinks with logic is evil. I am looking at things and comparing it all to the American Revolution. I am expecting the leftist Tories to request of the English Queen to be allowed back into the British Empire.

Tories and Democratics have the same mindset.

Almost every Dem, and all of the leaders, strongly supported border control when BHO advocated for it, as well as when Clinton did the same less than a decade before. But only to keep the blue-collar workers in the rust belt. But now the same language out of Trump is considered "racists" and "hateful".
