Sexism in Voting, and Grocery Shopping

#1 Post by AJMD429 » Wed Oct 31, 2018 7:31 pm

So today en route to go vote (early), my wife asks me "so, who do you think I should vote for...", and I told her my opinion on the specific candidates I knew about, as well as my guiding philosophy for races I don't know details about, which is 'if there is no Democrat, or if the Democrat is a sure-failure, vote for the Libertarian; otherwise, vote Republican'.

That would be interpreted by some as 'sexism' in that a husband is telling a wife how to vote (but hey, she asked...!). Plus, it only happens every half-century or so that she asks my advice, so I'd better take the opportunity.

A couple minutes later, since I was dropping her off at the gym, and going grocery shopping, I asked for HER advice on that - unsure what we needed, which depended in part on what she planned to make for meals for the next week or so. I guess that's double-sexist....!!! :o

However, it is my experience that MOST of the time, the male adult in the household tends to worry more about, and pay more attention to, and be better at, the things that happen outside the home - politics, the weather, the economy, and even the yard landscaping or vegetable garden, and MOST of the time, the female adult in the household tends to worry more about, and pay more attention to, and be better at, the things that happen inside the home - meals, clothing, the kids, the household budget, and whether or not everyone is getting along happily.

That system, such that it is, works really well, and has evolved to become the norm worldwide for many centuries.

Now our ever-so-enlightened political 'leaders', and the young 'social justice warriors', have figured out a new and better way of doing things, so I guess we're supposed to all just quit doing what worked for both men and women, and start humoring them. After all, they know everything, right...????

Libertarian votes are vote taken away from Republicans, aka boosting the Socialist chances. I think it was you, in another thread, that said this year might be out last chance to save the nation from the Socialists. Voting Losertarian is not the way to do that

Doc did day, "'if there is no Democrat, or if the Democrat is a sure-failure, vote for the Libertarian; otherwise, vote Republican'. " Important caveat.

My wife asked me how I was voting and why. We often have these discussions. I guess that makes me a sexist too. Of course, according to the Democrap running for the senate in AZ, my wide is a "leech" since she doesn't work outside our home (I've never seen anyone work harder, by the way). Shows you how little they know, and how little they care for and respect women.

Dumbascrmps don't respect women, people 'of color', gays, or any other 'minority' - they ONLY use those groups for their DIVISIVE, hate-motivated, envy-driven, political purposes.

And, unfortunately, most of those groups continue to fall for it...
