Wanted (in MT): 12 gauge RIFLED barrel blank or barrel

#1 Post by Naphtali » Thu Nov 15, 2018 1:41 pm

I seek a rifled 12 gauge barrel blank. A barrel rather than barrel blank should be okay if the chamber's outside diameter - that is, forward of any cut-out for a locking bolt for barrel-to-receiver lock - is 1.150 inches or larger. Break-open, bolt action, and slide action barrels might be satisfactory. Barrels from semiautomatics and double guns will not be satisfactory. The most trouble free item will be a barrel blank.

I'll make a cash transaction, or some sort of trade, if preferred.

brownells used to carry a hastings 12 ga. blank but i don't see them now.

on hastings site, they have a 1.1" x 30" 20ga. with a 1 in 26 twist but no 12 ga. rifled.

pac-nor shows they can make a .729" seven groove 1 in 20 twist for $275.

Pac-Nor is a source I did not consider. In reality, I had forgotten long ago that they existed. You may have solved my problem, and the solution will not give me warts. Many Thanks.
