We had a configuration problem yesterday (did anyone notice?) but we're back up and running again. We extend apologies from the moderation staff to the forum for the outage and we're taking steps to ensure it doesn't happen again.

Wow! That DID work! I'm so very happy and apologetic to all members as the error is completely my fault. Lack of attention to detail and having my finger on "the trigger" resulted in our outage.

Yeah, we've a crop of youngsters in the church, but most of 'em don't have the 'puter access kids up north do. And my own two, well one's up north and the other's busy with other things. If it were a game, now, he'd be able to get me goin' in no time. But serious stuff like this forum? It's greek to him! It sure was neat to see it pop up right after the inoculation.

I was dreading the process of getting everyone re-registered and the inevitable race against/between Hobie and Ysabel Kid for post counts... Sure am glad it didn't come down to a start from scratch.

That apology was from the moderation team here at the leverguns refuge and was extended because of a 24 hour outage that happened when Hobie used uninsulated virtual pliers while messing with high energy software. The hosting dude at sixgunner.com has not got anything set up again, nor do we expect him to do so. Sorry about that, but it's out of our hands.

We ARE expecting an announcement soon about the permanent fix of the forum problem. In the meantime, y'all make yourselves at home, hopefully future problems will be avoided when migrating to the permanent fix of the situation. We hope to make any transitions as smooth and pain free as possible.

Glad the site is back up!
I was looking for a Homer Simpson picture of Homer pressing the meltdown button, but no luck...
I searched all over the web and and then remembered Hobie's Blog page.
He was good enough to post about the problem there.
That's where I'll go first, next time, when this happens again!
It was good to see Hobie's name pop up at levergunluvers, too, while leverguns was down.

It actually worked well for me.
I had 18 labs to do in my Cisco router class and I was able to fly right through them without the distraction.
