I think they made them a short time back to try to compete with Winchester's '94 .410.

According to my Standard Catalog of Firearms, the original manufacturing run was from 1929 to 1932. I think the last run had an even shorter run.

If it was a 28 gauge or 20 gauge, I might be interested, but I have no regard at all for the .410's.

I think the ones Cabellas have are the last remaining that Marlin had although I could be wrong !

I bought one about 4 years ago or so right after they ceased production . I think I paid my local dealer about $400 OTD !

Mine however is still NIB , well it's unfired and hasn't been out the gunsafe in over two years ! Wanted one but have yet to come up with a reason to shoot it !

Might just have to take it to the skeet field and see if I can raise some eyebrows

It may very well be a remake of the ones they made a few years ago !

But I expect it looks just like the ones they had in production a few years ago .

CB, gents,

That link is dead. I have tried it dozens of time, in multiple purmutations. The Cabela's Web site is of no use. Do you have a good link to the page?

The link worked for me. I do not know if these are the same ones that were in production several years ago, but they are very nice. Just got one yesterday. Hate the prices of .410 shells.

I stopped by the Cabela's in Hamburg PA. They had 3 of these newer 410's. I have one that was produced a few years ago and the ones they had were a little different. They had sling swivel studs and no bullseye in the stock. The rear swivels were driven really hard into the wood and I questioned if it was walnut or not. I thought about getting another but the ones they had the wood was not up to what I think it should have been and passed on them. The one I have at home is much nicer. YMMV. I think this was a bunch of leftovers somewhere that surfaced that Cabela's bought, if you don't have one get one now while you can.

Wish I could spare/find the money for one. Traded off my 9410 to get my 1886 - a shooter-grade .410 lever is a hoot... and I could get back on my .410 slug project.

The price of .410 ammo is ridiculous. Super X is on sale and it is still $15.99 a box. I guess they can charge whatever they want?? What ever happened to pricing a product by the cost of the product?? It just seems like they price a product anymore by what the think they can screw you out of, instead of what it is really worth. IMO Supply vs. Demand no longer exists, especially if you have "Speculators" or in this case "collectors??" invloved. Tom.

Fortunately .410 is cheap and easy to reload.

AAHS hulls last dang-near forever and if you load Lead you don't even need a shot cup... just an over-powder card, CoW, over CoW card & shot.

Gents,

Thanks for the responses.

My security settings would not let me establish any sort of connection to that link. I realized that should try allowing cookies for the link. That did the trick. I find this situation unusaul, in that blocking cookies normally prevents portions of a Web site from working, not the entire site.

I see these are chambered for the 2.5". It's been so long since I've played with the .410 stuff, are the 2.5" shells common or the 3"?

The stuff you find a Wally World (Win AA HS) is all 2.5".
