old 1930's-40's peep sight

Post by 308magtip »

years ago I picked up a Ranger M 34 single shot .22 Yea this is a bolt not a lever but I need some info. It has an old type rear peep sight with a lever to lock the elevation adjustment in place. This is a very accurate shooter in the condition it is in worth maybe $200 plus. Would like any info on this sight. if I could I would post a pic. Thanks

Sounds like it might be a Lyman 55. I have an old H&R
22 with one one it. They also made them for other guns.
