I always figured they been doing that since the 1968 Gun Control Act was passed.

I left the States in 1966 for a free trip to the Far East. There I got to play with machine guns and really cool stuff. When I came back to the States in 1969 I went to buy a gun and had to produce ID and fill out forms and all kinds of communist stuff that I never had to do before I left! I could not believe America had gone so far down the road toward a totalitarian country in a couple years!

Fast forward a little over 50 years and I have to say, I remember what America was like when it was free, and this ain't it.

I lived under a "democratic socialist republic" government from 2010 through 2016. I wasn't expecting it here when I moved back to the US.

I remember as a second-grader one of my friends brothers gave us a ride home - he was old enough to drive but still in high school. On the way home he stopped at an old 'country store' and bought us each a roll of Necco Wafers, but also got a box of something he put in the back seat. My friend was in the back and opened the box to look and his brother yelled at him "Get out of that - that's dynamite and you'd better leave it alone" - sure enough, the older brother had signed for some dynamite. I think at the time you had to be sixteen or maybe eighteen, and just sign a sheet of paper.

Nobody was blowing up schools then. But we are told that we 'need more laws' now. Funny how when there weren't laws against stuff like guns and explosives, people weren't misusing them that much compared to now, when they are all so heavily regulated.

Nothing new here. 20 years ago I owned a Norinco 1911 for several years, eventually selling it to a dealer at a gun show. Seven years later -- a good 4 years after I had bought the gun -- I got a call from a police sergeant in a town 100 miles away. Seems the night before a patrol officer had found a gym bag in the middle of a street, containing among several items of clothing my old Norinco. Had it been stolen from me? I explained how I had sold it years earlier and did not remember the name of the buyer.

So how did this officer know whose gun it had been, albeit more than 10 years earlier? There wasn't but one possible source for that info, then or now -- the "temporary" purchase documentation.

Easy.......first they go to the manufacturer and see what distributor they sold it to...from there what gunshop they sold it to and from there, depending on what state you bought it in they either dig through the 4473's at the gunshop, which by law they have to keep for 10 years or they just check the states registry, like in a state like N.J.

On another note

Our social security numbers are the mark of the devil...not much different than a computer chip imbedded in your skin so unless you were born at home and never applied for a s.s.number or drivers license they know everything about you...everything.....

But...there's more of us than there is them but that brings us to the next problem...FEAR......my good friend Old Win said it right, they will tell you to turn them in and will offer rewards for people to give up other people...they will control you through your stomach........just like the Nazi's did it and the French during their revolution.

Covid vax? That's another form of registration.

I tell my daughter and wife NEVER to get into a car even if the bad man has a gun to their head because your going to die anyway.....I feel the same about firearms registration, govern.buy backs or anything that will restrict your RIGHT to defend yourself.

The sad part is that the majority of the public, who doesn't engage in 'political' thinking deeper than which party promises the most graft directed towards their employer/industry, has NO CLUE how bad things can get, and what leads to such conditions.

Things like "mandating insurance if you own guns" sounds 'reasonable', yet is no more than an excuse to create a 'gun registry' (how else can you prove you have/need the coverage).

The WORST is the so-called 'mandatory background check' - - - it ABSOLUTELY DOES NOT require any form of 'registration' (contrary to what smart pro-gun folks like Guy Relford (pro-gun attorney and "the Gun Guy" on WIBC) says. It really CAN be done without registration, if no other way, through encrypted transfers. Of course it is an entirely illegitimate thing anyway, being useless (criminals get guns illegally), unnecessary ('gun violence' is generally declining), and dangerous (if used to create a 'registry').

Correct me if im wrong;
When a purchaser fills out a Form 4473, the gunshop is in possession of that form until they die,sell out or close their doors. The 4473 has the pertinent info on it. The background check is just a YES or NO from the FBI.
So HOW does this "administration " have the info on who is buying what?
There is no federal warehouse sitting on millions of copies of 4473s. The feds don't know what an individual has purchased.
As for the background check dingbat was stumping for its been a part of purchases since the 90s.

Mandatory background checks ban private sales. Period. It also opens the door for whatever "tax" they want to impose. Let alone, it's just something else to expand and "build on".

Except that we have no state registry, and the gun was found at 3AM with the sergeant calling me at 8:15 AM of the same day, and there's no way you're going to go through that process in that length of time.

I'm sure that's just the tip of the iceberg. They monitor gun forums, social media, etc. If you think it's bad now, it's much worse than you know.
