The " H " Stamped On Winchester Rimfire Ammo

Post by Blaine »

I watched an old re-run of Death Valley Days. One of the original Henry rifles was featured in the story.
In the post script by The Old Ranger, he mentioned that the letter H was stamped on the bottom of Winchester rimfire ammo to pay honor to the rimfire Henry.....Since this was 1958, I can only assume they had a like new original Henry for the show.

B. Tyler Henry. Kept the sewing machines running in Winchester's shirt factory. The last Winchester 22 rimfire I bought still had the H.
