Today's senior moment

Post by Bill in Oregon »

Didn't have my readers on and managed to brush my teeth with cortisone cream instead of Crest. Tasted kinda bitter-bland, and now my gums are numb. Knew this would happen sooner or later.

I almost did that with Desitin in my 20s.

The smell fortunately warned me in time.....

Years ago when I worked for a certain household and personal care products company, we received a call from a frantic woman wanting to know if our silicone shield hand cream was or had spermicidal properties! :o

As a kid, my mom would make me 'cinnamon toast' (toast with butter, and cinnamon, and a bit of sugar or honey). One day I was late, the bus was honking, and I grabbed the toast and ran to the bus, taking my first bite of the double-toast 'sandwich' once on the bus....only to find out she had grabbed the Paprika instead of the Cinnamon.....

A friends girlfriend was learning to bake, his mom was teaching her to make oatmeal raisin cookies, somehow cayenne pepper was mistaken for cinnamon. Not one to waste homemade cookies I ate me share!

Oh and Bill if you used AIM tooth paste you would have known just by the color you had it wrong.

As a kid in Scouts, we took a fairly long hike and when I was back my butt was galled. At home I used athlete's foot cream instead of zinc oxide.....
