Ruger Blackhawk Clips

Post by Fisher-Price »

I am reading a book where the man pulls his trusty Ruger Blackhawk and fires it at a helicopter emptying the clip.

I have searched all my Blackhawk boxes and the safe, I did find some extra convertible cylinders. No clips to be found anywhere. I will be on the phone with Mr. Ruger at the open of business tomorrow demanding clips for my Blackhawks.

those clips are easy pickups at a gun range because most "shooters" don't know they are re-useable. . .

I do have clips for my Redhawk 45 Colt/ACP, and my daughter has them for her 9mm LCR....

I know a S&W moon clip of 45acp will fit in a Ruger Blackjack cylinder.
Never did try to put the cylinder in a gun though.

Do the clips make the slide work better on a revolver?

Piller,

Apparently they do, the story also mentioned repeatedly pulling the trigger until the clip was empty, no mention of thumb cocking
