Another muzzle loader

Post by hondo1892 »

Been working on this rifle for three years now. It's one I started for myself so I only work on it when I have time. I drew the carving on last spring and carved it this past winter and this week I stained the stock. Maybe it will get finished up this year. I let my son-in-law hunt with it last fall a bit. It's a .54 so it's big enough for me to use on hogs as well as deer.

Very nice, looks like a Jaeger style.

Looks like an Iisaac Haines to me but I’m not the best at determining styles .

It's built after the early Reading school rifles. It shoots pretty good with the load I've been using. It may shoot better if I ever get out and try some different things.
