I'd probably puke and pass out though.

Maybe if I was fifty years younger...
If more men loved and cherished their wives as much as I love bacon the world would be a much better place.

Another ride-along - with one of the Blue Angels.

Amazing how smooth this guy is as a pilot. Plus how calmly he talks the guest through the maneuvers.

The amount of energy involved in this stuff is amazing. Flying straight UP....!!! It is amazing they can carry enough fuel for this stuff.

Last Time I was in a UH60 CrashHawk, we were being flown about 110 knots and at treetop level. That meant bouncing up and down as well as going sideways to avoid the trees. They had the doors open. When we reached the LZ, they hovered and we dove out. About 3 of the platoon had been talking to Ralph. I wouldn't want to clean up that chopper.

I had a patient/friend that was an F16 test pilot then test pilot instructor, then astronaut. I did chiropractic assessment tests on him throughout. In the test pilot program they would pull up to 9Gs. One of our tests is a dual pick up heat sensor with a graph recording differences lateral to the spine. His readings never returned to normal until he got out of the F16s and just flew T38s which are like company cars for the astronauts.

While on the gun line in the Tonkin Gulf, we saw F-4's flying all of the time. Easy to recognize with their exhaust trail.
One morning while at quarters on the ASROC deck, an F-4 came over us (from behind) just over our masts.
We saw it fly over, then the jet trail hit us. Talk about fill our pants !

I'd be more interested in doing a ride along in a Wart Hog. Todd
30/30 Winchester: Not accurate enough fer varmints, barely adequate for small deer; BUT In a 10" to 14" barrelled pistol; is good for moose/elk to 200 yards; ground squirrels to 300 metres

Now that would be fun !
It would be interesting to see some gun camera footage from these in either of the Gulf Wars.

The Warthog might not have the speed to pull the G-forces of some of the others, but it is agile. When I was in, we saw them occasionally. To turn, they flipped sideways and could be pointing 180 degrees and leveled off again in what seemed to be 50 to 75 yards while at somewhere around 200 knots. By the time we found where they were coming from it was too late to react. The choppers were not quite so safe from us. We had a fighting chance.
